The Centre for Academic Courses and Students Affairs is entrusted with the organizing and conducting board of Studies and Academic Council meetings periodically as per Thiruvalluvar University norms. There are three categories of Board of Studies as given below::

• There is a Board of Studies for each department of teaching and research in the University.
• There are two Boards of Studies, one for the Under-Graduate and the other for the Post Graduate courses for each department of Teaching.
• There is a Board of Research studies common to all the branches of studies for Research Programmes.

The Centre also deals with the student affairs such as forwarding applications for scholarships, Eligibility Certificate for admission, Equivalence Certificate for other University students and Migration Certificates.
